What is this business?!
This is a small update on what's going on around the literature community, that's what this business is. The idea is to try and make the community more readily accessible for everyone, whether you're new or have been here for a while.
Please note: these updates will not be all-encompassing in terms of community happenings, as the community is quite frankly rather large. Instead, this article will focus specifically on things that are currently ongoing, or happened within the past fortnight. Literature CR Update - April 2012Hello all! As you've probably guessed by the title of the journal and the Community Relations journal skin, this is the monthly update from the literature community volunteers.
Farewell and New!
As with previous months, April saw some changes to the team, and so if you've not already done so, please send some love and thanks to `Alexander-GG, `kuschelirmel, `LabyrinthCreations, `Nyiana-Sama, and `ScENeYmE for their work as volunteers! Also, `anmari is now watching over the Architecture Photography gallery along with her chat/forum duties!

April is the cruellest month for writers taking part in NaPoWriMo and Script Frenzy, but that certainly didn't stop community activity! Here's some of what went on during the past month:

CRLiterature: Now Sponsoring ContestsWe recently sponsored two Halloween contests, and we'd now like to give you or your group this opportunity as well.
Nothing is guaranteed. Of course we'll look over each request carefully and let you know as soon as possible, but there are times when our resources may already be stretched thin.
We'd love to promote community-organized contests whenever possible, so don't let this stop you!
There are some expectations: if you've never run a contest before and participation is uncertain, that's probably not going to stand up so well to a group contest that's being going for four years and already has people sending in their entries. If you're not sure, go ahead and fill it out and we'll let you know what we think. :)

Art History Project- September is Literature!:new: 30/08/12: Almost ready to launch! Alongside this month, `GrimFace242 is conducting a series of cheeky lit interviews for Art History, so keep an eye out for what he uncovers! 
There are still lots of slots for people to submit articles too! Don't forget, we can have more than one article on the same day! Please get those proposals in! Who is your favourite author? What Book/Poem has had the most influence on you? Bring it on!
24/08/12: Hey guys, we're still looking to fill this up nice and meaty! Don't forget, the articles don't have to be as in depth as some of you are thinking and can be about specific authors, styles or even something different such as interviews or chat event (get your lit group involved!). 
If you're not sure about your idea, please still send it in, we have a wonderful crack commando unit who are helping for crimes they didn't commit in the backroom. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, you can use this team! :D

Farewell and New!
Obviously the biggest news in literature this month is that our very own poop-flinger $wreckling has migrated from the volunteers team to the marketing team! We wish him all the best as he starts his new job. Trevor also recently graduated, so a double bonus May for him! $haldron also has completed the migration!
This month we also said goodbye and thanks to `oilsoaked and `ChewedKandi in the CR team with $namenotrequired taking the community projects gallery
Other news in the CR Team is name changes! For those who venture beyond literature, here are the volunteers who have changed their names:

Over the past few months, we've been diligently working on cleaning up the category tree of old and unused categories.  While most of this will go unnoticed by the community, what you will notice is the change from "Miscellaneous" galleries to "Other".  The reason for this change is simple.  The concept of Miscellaneous leads one to believe that it's a junk drawer category for everything under the sun when the intention was to be an "Other" category for deviations that don't fit well in other sub-categories of the tree.  We're also working on u
