Back in August we launched More Like This to Beta, and after taking in your feedback, we made some improvements, which we're pleased to say were met with positive response! Today, we're bringing you even more improvements, both to More Like This results and your browsing experience!

What's New

  • The quality of More Like This results has been improved on once again!
  • We've improved the Full View mode by making the description area taller for easier reading. We've also added a More Like This button, so you can easily view more of any results you enjoy.

  • From the More Like This results page, you can now click on the art you used to find results, then easily browse through that artwork that's like it, either by using your left and right arrow keys or the "next" and "previous" buttons.
  • The menu for changing view settings was not as clear as it could have been, so it now has a new symbol to better signify what it does. In addition, this menu will be present regardless of which Browse setting you choose, for consistency and ease of use.

Bug Fixes

  • The Artist Diversity message no longer shows for More Like This searches that have a small set of results.
  • Collections can now be opened in a new tab, when browsing in Collections Mode.
  • Deviations will now only show up once per collection when browsing in Collections Mode.
  • Several URL handling bugs have been fixed.
  • Switching to page 2 of search results no longer loses the order of results you were already viewing.
  • When browsing deviations by page, the paging buttons at the bottom of results now always show, allowing you to configure page settings even when there aren't more pages of results.
  • Any literature thumbnails used for More Like This will now display properly on the results page.
  • Literature deviations were sporadically missing while browsing in Full View, and this has since been fixed.
  • "Go to page 1" and "Top" buttons work properly again.
  • We've improved how pages look when the browser is resized to a small size.
  • You can once again use the "Next" and "Previous" buttons when browsing from the Journal Portal.

Try it out!

Just like before, you can give these changes a try by going to the Browse page and clicking More Like This on a deviation, or by going to a deviation page and selecting the More Like This button on the right side of the deviation page!

If you come across any problems while browsing, searching, or using More Like This, let us know by filing a ticket in the :devdevbug: Issue Tracker under the More Like This project.
