I try to respond to comments on my art and any ongoing conversations with fellow deviants. Then, I look at some pictures in a vain attempt to catch up on my watched deviants. After that, I peruse the journals and try to read all of interest. When all that is done, I attempt to thank everyone who has faved my work. Since I am fairly busy, my time on dA is limited. As such I am woefully behind...

I usually don't respond to :+fav:s. If the person who :+fav:ed my stuff didn't take the time to write a comment, why should I take the time to write a reply?

I think we should be able to give others a llama just by clicking a little picture of a llama beside their names like when they make a comment and just beside their names link. It would be very handy and there is a download for that already in existance but I can't access it for whatever reason.

As I mentioned in my previous comment, I know that. I can't access it and I have explained my what happens when I attempt to download it to the creator, and not even he had an answer for me. So I think they should make one for everybody on DeviantART.

Well, I didn't know you meant the same tool.

IMO even dA would introduce such function, all this has to do with JavaScript and must be enabled in the browser. Which browser/s do you have? Did you try that mentioned tool (via the Greasemonkey-script) with different browsers? Do you use JS blockers?

I understand and thats quite alright. :)

I am using Safari 5. I have not tried that. My issue is that when I download it, which I can do, it simply doesn't work. I even have that little black flower symbol. Still just doesn't work..No I do not.

I don't use Safari and hence don't know about this flower symbol. – But I know version 5 is outdated, and its usage deprecated; wasn't it the last available for XP? If so, I used it myself years ago and experienced this browser causing much hard disk activity, very suspicious! You should absolutely update it as soon as possible! Then using extensions will very likely succeed. (And if you're still using XP, get also rid of it for your own security!)

But why not try another browser? I often use Firefox, and that Llama-button stuff works flawlessly.

Yes, I definitely has a suggestion. How about when people are tagging deviants in Journals and other places, have a box where you freinds are listed, so tagging is easier. So you can click, and drop, instead of having to copy and paste. Because when you copy and paste, sometimes it doesn't necessarily go through. Also, have a counter next your list of friends. So when they reach the cap of how many deviants they can tag, they'll know.

I recently submitted a journal that was under the cap amount and no one has been tagged, and it's been almost an hour. And I tag a lot of people all the time, so it's odd to know that this is happening.

Hello. I usually update/link my works to my facebook account because why not? The issue I did not want to look up from the forum (takes time/tiring/sorry) is that I linked my traditional art staff to facebook and at facebook a different picture appeared. Not my work. I thought it was only a bug if I wanted to share - who cares, I'd just link it and it is gone - but no. For one thing, it is rather silly and stupid for a page that encourages artists. Secondly I imagine my friends accusing me of showing something different than I uploaded. It is like ordering a katana and getting a handgun.

What I would like to suggest is to make a chackbox if I want the page to show an image or not - at least.

Thank you.

It would be great that the "Remove from messages"-button didn't move up and down depending on the sharing options toolbar when browsing deviantWATCH messages in a group. I use Google Chrome.

I have a little idea. How about making a new feature to search for certain user. And there will be filters such as profession (like students, professional artists, hobbyist, etc), age, gender, art choice (drawings, photography, literature, animation), etc. I think it would be easier for people to find certain artists that they need, either for jobs or projects and such :)

I edited my comments in a group journal a few days ago, but I couldn't do it  just now, it only showed the Hide function. And this happened to different group journals, not a certain group. Not sure if it's just me. :(

Now that is a good idea, the ability to find specific artists would help if you are a follower or fan of their work.

Can I make a suggestion instead?

Would be nice if in the Stats we could have an option about new watchers.
To see the progress through the months/weeks. Could be like the "Time" stats; that would show the months/weeks and how many new watchers we had in the period.
This would help to figure out what is working and what it's not with ours experiments.
thanks ^^

I usually delete the things that come from people I don't know very well, but I dev-watch them for their art. I choose to watch their forums and journals on the chance that they'll have something interesting to say, maybe I can get to know them. Many post art updates or things unrelated to that. If I had internet in my own home and wasn't pressed for time, I wouldn't delete so many things without at least skimming them first (I read the first few lines and the title, then delete if not interested) just in the name of seeing another person's mind.
I look forward to group journal updates, and things that sound like I can get to know a person, though. :D

While I read all of my messages, I tend to quickly delete the ones related to graphic Arts, and contests related to the same. I'm a writer, and have no useful talent with such things, so they're more or less wasted on me.
The suggestion about threads looks like a good idea.

At my level, I am never at a point where I have 'so many messages' that I can't reply to all of them. I do often delete entire groups of 'new deviation' notifications, but mostly because they are from groups I am in and I don't have time to look at them all.

okay so if i were to delete a message without replying it´s not because i hate anyone, completely the opposite, thank you guys for being so interested - the problems just that i get so many like i have 162 unanswered conversations right now with different people and all.. maybe it´d be fun to answer those all tomorrow.

thank you for favs and fav notices, since I get individual stacks from the same deviants on every deviation.

so and so has favorited_ if the same person likes each picture, it gets redundant removing each individual notice from that person, I wish you could make a stack of the same person who likes multiple things rather than individual notices from the same person.

I wish there was a faster way to thank people for bookmarking/collecting.

I wouldn't say there's any type of message I delete indiscriminately.

I save messages of favourites (an old habit from when I was new and barely got any; more recently it probably doesn't make any sense to do so, perhaps I should stop).
I'm the type of user that returns llamas received (though I do wish there was a way to do that faster).
I check out deviations received by people I watch.
And I do read journals posted by people I watch.

Actually, tell a lie. Content dA promotes either to push an agenda (e.g. feminism for International Womens Day, whose male counterpart I still doubt I'll see promoted come November 19th) or because dA was paid enough to promote something. I delete junk like that without hesitation because it's basically the dA equivalent of spam mail.

As for reply... I reply to the items (journals and deviations, which are separate things by the way!) that interest me. Some artists have multiple subject matters so I do delete their works and journals that use subjects other than the ones I watch them for. But the ones I do watch them for, I comment on.

And for comments received, either on my own works or replies to comments I've made, I try to respond to so long as they are not half-hearted (e.g. "nice pic" and nothing else) or a good ending point for a comment conversation.
