As with last week, this week's Site Update is a little different from usual in that we don't have any publicly visible changes. However, it's because our Devious Technology team has been at a staff retreat! During this retreat, they discussed our features, conducted hackathons, and created prototypes for new features.
What's New
Submit to deviantART Directly From SketchBook Apps
DeviantART is proud to announce that SketchBook users on iPad and Android tablets now have the ability to create and submit art directly from their devices to deviantART!
Our recent partnership with Autodesk has allowed deviantART to become the first community integrated into SketchBook — the professional-grade painting app that is easy to use for every artist. Merging these two powerhouse environments means that tablet users will be able to publish their creations from SketchBook directly to their deviantART accounts, and more!
Recent DeviantMEETs!
Over the past few weeks we've had two major deviantMEETs, one in Hollywood and one in Las Vegas! DeviantMEETs are always a great experience that bring people together for art and community, and we hope that in the future you'll be able to join us!
Your Feedback
Thank you for the comments left on last week's Site Update! There were a variety of scripts and user styles mentioned in the comments, ranging from changing the appearance of the site to changing or adding functionality. Some of the mentioned scripts include:
- @famine-star's helpplz, for finding user icons to include in comments
- Dediggefedde's Dev Group List, which improves on the functionality of the Add to Group modal on deviations
- electricnet's SuperdAmn, a well-known script for Chat that adds a variety of functionality
- patheticpat's Llama Button userscript, which makes giving llama badges as simple as one click
